Promoting the interests and activities of primary schools throughout the European Union.

Our Guiding Principles :-

EPSA supports the intent of Article 126 in the Treaty on European Union.

bullet

EPSA is transnational in ideology and membership.

bullet

EPSA is independent from any political party, or organisation promoting any particular member states’ policies above others.

bullet

The ‘primary’ age group is loosely interpreted as ages vary.

bullet

EPSA is open to individual, school and institution membership.

Our General Aims :-

1. Promote the importance of primary school education within the European Union.

2. Create a cooperative, transnational network of individuals, schools and institutions to exchange ideas and experiences, and thereby develop and improve primary school education throughout Europe.

3. Develop the European dimension in primary school curricula.

        a. Producing policy statements and guidelines.

        b. Transnational links between national curriculums and projects.

        c. Enhancement of subjects through comparative study.

        d. Enrichment through cooperative production of resources.

        e. Extension with a ‘Europe Study Unit’ - the same for all the EU.

        f. Encourage the ideals of citizenship within the European Union.

4. Undertake research and raise management issues related to primary schools.

5. Provide training / staff development on European issues.

EPSA is a charity registered for the promotion of education.

Full membership assists to cover the costs of this website and other projects. Associate membership of EPSA is free. Payments should be made by cheque - invoices can be sent.
